Here's some Good News that will help you:

The God who made the heavens and the earth is the same God who made you. God loves you UNCONDITIONALLY. That means no matter what you've done, and no matter what you do, He will never stop loving you because He is love and His love is perfect. You might ask, "but can God love a sinner like me?". YES! He can, He does, and He wants more than anything to have a personal relationship with you. In fact, God loved you so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for your sins. You don't have to live with guilt anymore. You don't have to wonder what happens to you when you die. God can take away every terrible thing you've ever done and give you the ABSOLUTE assurance that you will go to heaven to be with Him forever when you die.

How can God do that? Just one reason…The Cross. You see, every person on earth who has ever lived is a sinner. The Bible says "we all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God." Since we are sinners and God desires that we be perfect for heaven, we find ourselves in need of a perfect Savior. God took care of that for us. He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, to earth to die a horrible death on a cross for you and me. It was on that cross that Jesus paid the price for our sinful wickedness. Now through His blood we can be forgiven of everything we've ever done against God. But wait, that's not all of the Good News!

So, what does this forgiveness cost you? The answer... NOTHING! It is God's FREE GIFT because He loves you! It cost God His Son's life just so it could be a free gift for you and every person in the world. You've probably heard this Scripture verse: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that WHOEVER believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 Well, that's proof that God loves you unconditionally.

Now what? If you're like I was a few months ago, and you think you're saved, but after reading this, you're not really sure you've truly accepted Jesus and His forgiveness into your life, THIS IS YOUR TIME!

Here's how to accept God's free gift of forgiveness. It doesn't matter what you've done, how old you are, or what you look like. His gift is free, and all you have to do is accept it! I promise that Jesus will come into your heart and begin to change you into the person you've always wanted to be for Him. Just follow these steps to accept God's gift of eternal life and His forgiveness for your sins:

1) Admit to God that you are a sinner and that you need His gift of forgiveness through Jesus Christ.

2) Believe that God's Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross and bore the penalty for your sins, and ask Him to come into your heart and change you.

3) Confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life, repent (turn away) from the evil things that you used to do, and commit to following Him.

Now just pray this simple prayer: "Dear Jesus, I admit that I'm a sinner, and I need your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross so my sins could be forgiven. Please come into my heart and change me for Your glory. Forsaking my past sins, I will follow You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for saving my soul and giving me eternal life. Amen."

If you prayed this prayer, congratulations! You are now a child of God! You have been set free from sin! You can be sure that God has given you His Holy Spirit to live inside! You will be in heaven when you die. That is your eternal assurance!

I encourage you to begin reading the Gospel of John in the Bible. Find someone that you know is a Christian. Ask them to help you get into a church where you can learn more about Jesus and about God's plan for your life. God truly desires great things for your life! He has a specific plan and purpose for you. Now that you know Jesus, your true life has begun.

"How great is the love the Father has lavished upon us, that we should be called children of God!"

1 John 3:1
